Writers’ Tears Double Oak is a blend of two premium whiskey styles - Single Pot Still and Single Malt - aged in two types of wood – American and French Oak. It is triple-distilled, non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% ABV (92 Proof). This expression is made possible by a close collaboration between the Walsh family in Ireland’s County Carlow and the Legaret family in Cognac, France. Writers’ Tears is a unique style of whiskey embedded in Irish history.

Writers' Tears is a unique vatting of Aged Single Pot Still and Single Malt whiskey. Distilled entirely from Pot Still and Malt without Grain this is a truly special Irish whiskey. Writers' Tears is triple distilled non-peated and matured and aged in American Oak bourbon casks. A nose of fresh apple with hints of vanilla and honey. the palate is gently spices with bursts of ginger and butterscotch which leads into a long elegant finish with notes of toasted oak and milk chocolate.

Writers' Tears is triple distilled non -peated and matured and aged in American Oak bourbon casks.Nose shows flashes of apple with hints of vanilla and honey over a distinctively pot still base. Flavors are gently spiced with a burst of ginger and butterscotch and background notes of toasted oak.
