An extraordinary 18th century Neapolitan terracotta olive oil pot with rare handles, wonderful proportions, and exquisite time worn patina. This amazing grand scale Mediterranean pot is distinctive to the Gulf of Naples and retains traces of its original creamy glazed top. Standing 26 inches high, it would make a beautiful statement as a decorative urn, or would be perfect as a large vase filled with a profusion of white forsythia branches. Italian circa 1780 - 1800.
